It occurred to me watching Good Morning America and listening to the news that the sky is falling. I'm aware the economy is in the "bathroom", aren't you. I mean they keep shoving it down our throats. The media has nothing positive or uplifting to say so therefore I'm boycotting... I refuse to give anyone that much power over my life and thoughts. I'm going to live my life in positivity. I'm going to surround myself with positive, enthusiastic people. People that can find the positive in all this negative. No more news!
Okay, I've jumped off my soapbox. Phew, that felt good!!!

I have so missed these three. They moved to the West side of the state - thankfully Stephanie & Mike are been bringing them back to be photographed. I can't believe how much they've grown. They are three of the most beautiful children I get to photograph. I love watching my kids grow. I have the best job ever!

Willow had her 1st birthday party this past Sunday. There were about 50 family and friends in attendance. Thank goodness the weather held out because we all were outside. She was dressed in a tutu with cute little legwarmers. She was stunning. Boy did she ever make out in the gift department. She was a little trouper, hugging all the gifts and giving out kisses. It's hard to believe she's been on this earth for a year now. time is flying.

Meet Milena. What a cutie. These are images from her second Baby Steps Session. She's 6 months old. I love the fact that Mom & Dad both bring her to be photographed. Normally it's the Moms that bring the kids by themselves. She's all about her Daddy, that will be changing soon. Right now Dad's eating it up. She smiles so big for Daddy. We had a great session. I can't wait for Baby Steps #3. Mom's getting in on that one. You're a little cutie Milena.

I belong to the Professional Photographers of Michigan Association. This past weekend we had our Summer Seminar on Mackinaw Island. What a fun trip. I was walking through town and discovered an art gallery owned by my Art teacher at Flushing High School, Richard Wolfgang. I took art with this wonderful artist for 4 years. It just so happened he was at his gallery. I got to thank him in person for guiding me to this awesome profession of Photography. He was such an inspiration to me. He opened up my eyes to the world of art. For this I will always be in his debt. Check out his art at www.paintingsbywolfgang.com. He's awesome.
Hope you enjoy the sunrise images I'm posting. I got up at 5 o'clock to capture the beginning of a day on the Island. What an experience. It was so quiet and peaceful. dt
